Jane Mills recently won a prize in the Sue Ridgewell Challenge at the Quilters Guild AGM in Torquay. She thinks it is Third prize. She said ".. I used hand-dyed fabric - mine - and pieced it then added needle-nosed bottle squiggles(technical term) of ink and thickened dyes! And then I wrote on it with a Pilot retractable fountain pen - 2 verses of Thomas Harry's poem The Darkling Thrush. The real laugh is that he came from Dorset not Devon apparently!"
